Forbes Contributor Scotty Reiss (A Girls Guide to Cars) shows off the X Gran Berlinetta and Neolun, and explains the real reason concept cars are so important for brands.<br/><br/>The Genesis X Berlinetta concept is a piping hot orange colored Korean supercar. Created by Genesis for the Vision Gran Turismo series, this sleek coupe is powered by a hybrid V6 powertrain pumping out a total of 1071 hp and 986 lb-ft of torque. For anyone wanting to drive the X Berlinetta (virtually of course), just access Gran Turismo 7, as the car was added to the game in January.<br/><br/>The fully-electric Neolun (meaning “new moon”) is a big, hyper-luxurious SUV concept with a lavish two-row interior with front seats that swivel backward, but it could easily be a three-row machine if it reaches production.<br/><br/>Inside, the Neolun is full of ambitious features, only some of which would make it to a real-world model. Rotating seats and coach doors have been done before on other vehicles, but the radiant heating in the floor and the complete lack of a B-pillar are ambitious indeed. But for 2024 there’s a whole new type of Macan.<br/><br/>Calvin Kim, Product Spokesperson for Porsche North America, takes Forbes on a tour of the all-new, fully-electric Macan EV at the 2024 New York International Auto Show.<br/><br/>For Porsche, “performance is luxury,” and the Macan EV will be a scorcher, with 402 or 630 horsepower depending on the model. It will charge quickly thanks to its 800-volt architecture, which the automaker claims can go from 10 to 80% in just 21 minutes on a DC fast charger. But one of their most recent projects on a Porsche 911 GT2 RS seems to have stood out from the rest. Although this model is already Porsche’s most powerful car, BBI has expanded its capability even further by transforming one from a sleek sports car into a swift supercar. With specialist customisation, they pushed the car to reach speeds of 227mph, making it the fastest 911 in the world. Owner of BBI Betim Berisha told R.Rides: “We take this beautiful canvas that Porsche gives us and we tailor it to a client’s need or specific goal that we’re after. I don’t think we have ever built a car that made you actually feel this comfortable doing something so wrong. If I had to describe this Porsche in three words, I would say it’s visceral, raw and powerful.” Starting with the factory model, BBI upgraded the classic 911 with a custom engine, larger turbos and an advanced cooling system. Dmitriy Orlov, who works at the company said: “This car has bigger turbochargers, more intercooler, better calibration, a water-methanol injection system, better chassis to handle the high speed – and of course on Michelin tyres because they are just proven to be phenomenal at any speed and power level. There is also a lot of work on the interior. There are raised seats and harnesses to ensure that the car is safe.” To buy from the showroom, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS typically sells for around $350,000 – but with this level of modification, this car would cost closer to half a million dollars.")
