We were very fortunate that we went right after all major holidays, on a Monday when everyone has gone back to work and school. There were not that many people, so we got to take most rides and activities that are available for kids.<br/><br/>Unlike Disneyland which is a little more lenient. Height requirements for most rides in Ocean Park is above 120 cm. Therefore even Zac couldn't get on most rides that are a little more exciting. The only Rollercoaster he manages to go on was Arctic Blast.<br/><br/>From Wan Chai, we went to Ocean Park by taxi. For four people, it makes more sense VS MTR or bus. Distance is just 12 minutes from Wan Chai, through a tunnel in the middle of Hong Kong. <br/><br/>There are quite a good number of rides and activities that are kids friendly in Ocean Park. Make sure you rent a stroller here too. The stroller is quite big and not foldable. In between Old Hong Kong Game Zone and The Waterfront, we started off with Le Petit Prince which is a recent collaboration. It's beautiful. Then we went for a Merry Go Round. After that we took the cable car to Marine World Game Zone. The view from cable car was extremely gorgeous and cold wind was soothing. <br/><br/>Then we walked to Ocean Theatre for Dolphin Show. Near there, there is a Demon Grove, Japanese ghosts inspired area. Shark Mystique is just next door. After that we went to Ferris Wheel. Then grabbed lunch at McDonald's.After lunch, Zac and I went to a zombie shooting game called 180 Lab. Quite interesting and bloody. Then we went to different areas of the park to see animals ie from Rainforest, from Arctic, from Ocean, interesting and relaxing. Zac get to go on Arctic Blast rollercoaster. Abby manage to take the more exciting Hair Raiser and Whirly Bird while I'm taking care of the kids. Check out our Slow Motion video.<br/><br/>Finally, we took the Ocean Express train back to Whiskers Harbor Game Zone, with many activities for kids! Then we proceeded to the Grand Aquarium. The night ended with a spectacular show at the entrance in front of Grand Aquarium. Finally while going back home, we stopped by the Michelin 1 Star for 9 consecutive years Goose Rice called Kam's Roast Goose. Rich Benoit, a YouTuber from Gloucester, Massachusetts, has created something that he says has never been done before. Rich told R.Rides: “No one has ever taken an electric motorcycle motor and put it in a car - it’s beautiful.” Rich spent six weeks building his “work of art”, weighing between 12 and 1300 lbs and measuring 11ft long. At the heart of the 1930s Ford Model A is an electric motor from a wrecked motorcycle, complete with a custom made transmission adapter and a multi gear transmission from an old Chevy. Rich grafted the electronics on the bike and then put them on the rat rod, completing the interior with third row seats from an old dodge caravan. The acceleration enables the car to go up to 80mph, something Rich isn’t sure is the best idea. Part of the thrill for Rich is never knowing what will happen when taking the rat rod out for a spin: “Is something going to fall off or blow up? I really have no idea!” Rich enjoys proving the naysayers wrong who believe a small engine wouldn’t be able to pull the car. “My favourite thing about this is definitely the look you get from people who expect a big honking engine to be in front,” he said. “I feel like it really captures the spirit of hot rodding.”")

Owned by racing driver Jimmy Shaw, the Ford Maverick, which was originally produced as an economy car, has become a rule-bending ride – putting the 70s car back on the map. Jimmy told R.Rides: “I found this little car on eBay; I never would have thought it would turn out this way.” To produce his ‘hot rod’, Jimmy hired father-son duo Greening Auto Company to help revolutionise the old school ride into something much cooler. Having owned over 200 cars, Jimmy wanted to create a ‘maverick’ by taking something old and making it his own. Jimmy said: “I got to thinking, I’ve always wanted to run 200 miles an hour so I wondered if this car could do that.” Jimmy’s dreams were made a reality – the top speed is 202.7 miles per hour with 1200 horsepower. The multi-award-winning car has not only won prizes but also impressed both car enthusiasts and the general public. His favourite part about the car is the flair on the fenders as it retains the classic style whilst adding something new and exciting: “It looks so good and not out of place – a simple change.” For Jimmy, the car's individuality has meant it has quickly become one of his favourites. “This car is at the top of my list of all my cars right now, it’s just so different.”")

Chris Roark, from California, has transformed a 1958 Chevrolet Impala after his previous show-winning car, called The Perfect Score, was destroyed in a crash. Chris told R.Rides: “The Perfect Score was a three time Lowrider Magazine show winner and, on our third title coming home, we were cut off and we got swiped over onto the embankment. The trailer came loose from our toe rig and the car was totalled. That loss, it was very, very tough.” After the accident the other members of the Traditional car club encouraged Chris to create another car in honour of The Perfect Score. From there, The Final Score was born. The impressive lowrider was customised in every way possible with Chris estimating there is close to 600 custom machine parts in the car. This included the door handles, which were shaped for pop doors. The interior was made with full leather ostrich skin, with custom logos engraved on the seats. And everything matches, with the whole engine was engraved to match the outer pinstripe paint. Even the motor was customised, a LS1 that came out of a mid-80s Corvette. Chris told R.Rides: “When I look at the Final Score, I see engineering, craftsmanship and detail.” Despite the success of the original lowrider, Chris’s fans weren’t immediately approving of his new build. Chris explained: “A lot of people didn't take to it when it first came out. They were like, ‘What is this?, this doesn't look good, what are the colours that are mixing?’ “But a couple years went by and now you start to see a lot of people starting to entertain all these different colours.” The lowrider has built up a legion of fans, but will Chris continue building these cars? He said: “It’s tough as you get older, you slow down. I have my son and my nephew that are young guns and they've been keeping the fire under me to keep me going.” Chris’s son, Chris Jr is now leading the next generation of car customizers. Chris Jr told us: “My favourite part of the low rider is when you could get in it and drive, put the top down, just have fun. And they're different, they're unique, not everyone likes low riders, but everyone has their own different tastes. I just like to be behind the wheel and feel the creation of building something that’s unique like this.”")
