For the first time, U.S. customers can make their fleet more sustainable with an emission-free, battery-electric van bearing the Mercedes-Benz star. In addition to optimized efficiency, the all-new eSprinter offers customers a multitude of technical innovations that make driving and fleet logistics more convenient and sustainable.<br/><br/>At market launch in North America, the eSprinter will be available as a 170'' wheelbase cargo van with a high roof equipped with a 113 kilowatt hour (kWh) battery (usable capacity). Equipped with the largest battery available, the electric range, based on a simulation using the WLTP cycle, is up to 440345 kilometers (~273 miles). The simulated range based on the WLTP city cycle is up to 53035 (~329) kilometers. This extended range makes the vehicle ideal for both daily urban use as well as longer journeys.<br/><br/>The lithium/iron phosphate technology eliminates the use of any cobalt or nickel and is ideal for light commercial vehicles due to its durability. Active thermal management improves efficiency, and a heat pump is standard.<br/><br/>Offering a cargo capacity of 488 cubic feet and with a permissible gross vehicle weight of up to 9,370 lbs., the rear-wheel-drive eSprinter is as practical as any of its siblings with internal combustion engines. eXpertUpfitter solutions, such as shelving systems, workbenches or heavy-duty wood floors for heavy loads offer further available customization options for the load compartment to upfit the eSprinter to a mobile workshop or a spacious delivery van.

This was 15 years ago. There's now a new 4Runner – finally – and even though Toyota has rebuilt its iconic off-roader from the ground up, it retains its rugged spirit.<br/><br/>Also based on the new Tacoma, the 2025 4Runner uses the same TNGA-F truck architecture. It ditches the old 4.0-liter V-6 and five-speed automatic in favor of a standard turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 278 horsepower and 378 pound-feet of torque. That's 8 more hp than the current 4Runner and a whopping 100 additional pound-feet.<br/><br/>The optional I-Force Max hybrid version of the same engine produces 326 hp and 465 lb-ft. Both of these powertrains ditch the old five-speed in favor of a new eight-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately, there is no manual to be found.<br/><br/>The 4Runner will be offered with two-wheel drive, part-time four-wheel drive and full-time four-wheel drive, depending on how you specify it. All 2WD models will feature a limited-slip differential, while 4WD models will feature the same LSD and electronically controlled two-speed transfer case with high- and low-range gearing, as well as Toyota's Active Traction Control (A-Trac).<br/><br/>There's also what Toyota calls the new Stabilizer Bar Disconnect Mechanism for better articulation. This one-button access system allows the 4Runner to flex while keeping its tires on the ground. The 4Runner has a 32-degree approach and 24-degree departure angle.<br/><br/>And the new 4Runner promises to be even more capable. Mud, Dirt and Sand modes and a quieter Crawl Control function join the party in 2025, while new Trailhunter hardware (borrowed from the Tacoma) joins the rest of the lineup. Buyers will be able to choose from nine 4Runner trims: SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Sport Premium, TRD Off Road, TRD Off Road Premium, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro and the aforementioned Trailhunter, the toughest of the bunch.<br/><br/>The 4Runner Trailhunter has 33-inch all-terrain tires that raise the ride height by 2.0 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the rear. Two-and-a-half-inch Old Man Emu forged shocks with ARB-free reservoirs dot the corners of the suspension. There's also an ARB-designed roof rack, a high-mounted air intake for the I-Force Max powertrain (standard on the Trailhunter), a 20-inch light bar, and steel skid plates. Davey Hamilton, from Indianapolis, was struggling to find the truck of his dreams. But having been inspired by his friend in Maine, another former driver who owned a truck, Davey decided to take things one step further. But to build his backwards truck, Davey had to first find a truck with a big back window that could act as a windscreen. Davey told R.Rides: “A lot of the older trucks have really small back windows; they don’t have the wide ones. I couldn’t find a truck with a big back window. I happened to find this truck three miles from my father’s house and knew I had to get it.” The truck had its original body, frames and pedals. “We had put the lights on obviously, going the wrong direction. I didn't know what to do for bed cover. So, we figured to keep the rustic look.” Davey had to do a lot of work for the truck to work just right. “We had to cut a hole between the bed of the truck and the cab of the truck for your feet to go in. And so that had to be sealed up so there's no water getting inside the truck.” With the seats in and doors on, the truck still had a little to go before making its road debut. The windshield wipers got installed to make it safe, so the truck had everything that’s required to get going. “It looks like it's supposed to go forward. And so, it took some time and to get everything levelled out and make sure that was mounted properly.” And Davey loves his creation for lots of reasons. “Number one, it’s an attention getter. Number two, it's definitely a fan favourite, number three, it was a lot of work. There's new people that see it every time we take it out and it's definitely a crowd getter.”")
