And while they managed to find him a home, he was returned in 2019. It was signed by the RNLI President, HRH Duke of Kent, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Dean of Westminster and leading RNLI representatives.<br/>On this scroll is the RNLI’s One Crew pledge, in which the RNLI’s promise the<br/>commitment to saving every one we can, without judgment – staying true to Sir William<br/>Hillary’s vision when he founded the charity in 1824.<br/>The Farnham, Haslemere & Godalming branches of the RNLI are all continuing to raise money for the organisation through various means such as abseiling Guildford cathedral.<br/>The Chairman of the Farnham & District Branch is Nigel Cuthbert who will be invited to<br/>sign the Pledge. As part of the 200 year celebrations the Branch is organising a quiz<br/>night on the 20th April and an afternoon Bridge session in August.<br/>Local branches are holding events during the year to celebrate the anniversary with Godalming holding a sponsored abseil down Guildford Cathedral on June 15th, Haslemere<br/>holding an open garden on the 9th June. The local branches at Alton and Petersfield are also having celebratory events.")
